- Two names shall be placed on the ballot for each office with the exception of one director which shall filled by the retiring
President.
- The Association shall pay the registration fee to the VHIMA Annual Meeting for full time faculty at any educational program in
the Commonwealth of Virginia that is accredited by the American Health Information .Management Association.
- Anyone who hold Student membership in the American Health Information Management Association or is enrolled in the AHIMA
Independent Study Program or any approved program for health information management shall not be charged registration fees to any
state meeting, except when deemed necessary by the Board of Directors.
- When a member has distinguished himself through outstanding performance in the state association's affairs (such as by being
named Distinguished Board member of the Year), he will be honored by receiving free registration to the next VHIMA Annual Meeting.
- The credential files shall be maintained by the Chairman of the Nominating Committee. The files shall be updated as roster
changes are received.
- Ballot envelopes shall have lines for the return address and each envelope shall be labeled BALLOT.
- The outgoing Board of Directors shall fill any vacancy which occurs following balloting but prior to the installation
of officers.
- Associate member dues are $50.00.
