What an incredible time to be in the Health Information Management field!!
Last week marked the very first VIRTUAL VHIMA Annual Business meeting, AND the first virtual AHIMA Leadership Symposium. As we progress throughout the year, our membership can expect to receive notices of additional virtual meetings, and will have terrific opportunities for obtaining CEU’s, participating in VHIMA functions as never before, while being a part of historical – life changing events.
Unlike any other year, the 2020 AHIMA Annual Convention is positioned to offer 100+ CEU’s to each participant. This can be made available ONLY through accomplishments in moving ever forward to provide virtual and recorded sessions during a time in which so many other forms of communication, learning, and ways of doing business have come to a stop.
VHIMA members, please watch your email announcements for detailed information from AHIMA. This year promises to be a new generation of learning!
In the meantime, AHIMA polls are open. There are only a few days left to cast your vote and shape the future of AHIMA.

Later in August, the VHIMA board plans to provide information on upcoming changes, additional learning opportunities and specialty services for the 2020-2021 fiscal year.
